Frequently Asked Questions
What is the lead time for delivery?
Allow up to three months for bare shell or standard fitouts, from payment of deposit until the product is available at the WCH Depot. Customised products may take longer, depending on the complexity of requirements.
Do I need to organise delivery to my site?
You are welcome to organise your own delivery from our depot or we can arrange this for you.
What is the delivery cost from the depot to my place?
Delivery costs are additional to the purchase price and are dependent on the distance from our depot and the access to your site. Please contact us for a quote.
My place has tricky access. How do you deliver the pod?
We use an industrial HIAB crane that provides access solutions to most sites.
Do I need a qualified electrician and plumber to do the installation?
If you want to connect to main services, you will require qualified tradespeople to complete the installation, to meet building consent and the warranty terms.
I only want power, not the other services. Can I do that?
Power to run the lights and power sockets can be connected with an extension lead through the IP66 external connector, just like a caravan.
What building and/or resource consents are required?
Building consent is generally required if you want to connect the pod to mains services, if the pod is over 30m2, or if the pod is to be located too close to the boundary. Resource consent may also be required. As each council’s requirements are different, please check with your local authority.
What wind zone is the pod and glazing built for?
High wind zone
Where are the pods made?
The pods are manufactured in China to New Zealand and Australian standards.
What are the payment terms?
A 50% deposit is required on confirmation of your order, with the balance due when the product is completed and ready for shipping.
What can I do in my pod?
Pretty much anything you like. Just remember it has a glass wall…
